After Twitter, now Facebook. Former US President Donald Trump was banned for two years by Mark Zuckerberg's organization over protests on Capitol Hill in January.
Facebook authorities said this by posting a blog on their website. The sanctions were imposed on Trump after he made a statement on behalf of the protesters during a rally in the Capitol on January 8.
As a result, he will not be able to use Facebook and Instagram for the next two years. The ban will remain in place until January 8, 2023. Facebook will sit in the review meeting after two years. In that case, Trump could be reinstated if the authorities feel that "public safety risks have been reduced."
