Kanchipuram :It was an ancient city which served as the capital of Pallava dynasty. Kanchipuram, with a number of temples, also serves as an important Hindu pilgrimage site in Tamil Nadu. The city is also famous for the Kanchipuram silk sareers across South India.

Tamil is the official language of the state. Moreover English and Hindi are also widely spoken in Tamil Nadu. 

Communication: By Rail:-. Chennai, the Southern Railways has a network that covers a large area of the Southern Peninsula of India. The states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Pondicherry, a major portion of Karnataka and a part of Andhra Pradesh are covered by the network. Other important rail junctions include Madurai, Tiruchirapalli, Salem, and Coimbatore.
By Air:- Tamil Nadu has three more international airports namely Coimbatore International Airport, Madurai International Airport, and Tiruchirapalli International Airport. Moreover, Salem Airport and Tuticorin Airport are two other domestic airports.
By Road:- Tamil Nadu has a road network of nearly 1.70 lakh km. Private bus operators along with a number of government buses link the important cities and work the entire south.
